Top Ten Places to Visit in the World

Do you find yourself daydreaming about holiday destinations around the world that you would LOVE to visit? Yeah, we do too. So, we decided to compose a top ten list of places to visit before you kick the bucket.
10. Great Wall of China – China
The largest monument that was ever built is the Great Wall of China. It’s thousands of miles long, passes through 156 counties, and has about 7,000 lookout towers. When built 2,000 years ago its purpose was to keep out enemy tribes, but today it’s serves a popular tourist destination.
9. Grand Canyon – USA
Mother Nature has enormous power and the Grand Canyon in North America is one of the most amazing examples of it. The sight of this river-created canyon, which is 277 miles long and 18 miles wide, will make your jaw drop.
8. Pyamids of Giza – Eygpt
This pyramid (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza, Eygpt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. Many mysteries surround the construction of these huge pyramids, which are part of a massive mausoleum complex in the heart of the Sahara desert.
7. Stonehenge – UK
No one really knows for what purpose Stonehenge was built for, though there are many theories. However, its mystery, combined with an amazing view created by the setting sun, causes a magnificent glow through the arches and makes it a place worth seeing.
6. Easter Island – Chile
Easter Island is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world that are inhabited by the famous ‘Moai’ statues, massive stone heads that were carved by the natives of Easter Island to commemorate their ancestors. 887 statues remain today with the largest of them weighing 82 tons. The island is also a hotspot for scuba diving and hiking enthusiasts.
5. Chichen Itza – Mexico

The old Mayan city, Chichen Itza, offers another masterpiece of human architecture on our list: El Castillo, a 78-foot, 91-step pyramid. Some other attractions on the site include the Temple of the Warriors, the Ball Court and Tzompantli, the Wall of Skulls. The El Castillo pyramid offers one of the most thrilling views at sunset when shadows create an illusion of a large serpent slithering down the pyramid.
4. Taj-Mahal – India
In 1632, the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan started building a white marble mausoleum in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. As a result, he built one of the most beautiful palaces in the world, a real masterpiece of the Muslim art in India, and also one of the most admired.

Paris is considered one of the most romantic cities in the world as well as one of the most fashionable. The list of interesting things to see and do in Paris might be very long, but some of the most beautiful are the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame de Paris, Versailles, and the ‘Disney Land’ theme park.

Sydney is the most populated city in Australia and is an amazing place to visit due to its warm, mild climate. This with its many sightseeing activities, the most famous of which is the Opera House, are just a few reasons why people love to visit this beautiful city.

Our very own magnificent city of London, the UK’s capital, is the place that everyone must visit. Being one of the biggest urban areas of Europe, London has many places of attraction to offer like the Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace. The beauty of this old, historic city, and the large amount of places to see, made it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, let alone the entire world.
